Aqualine Surface Water Treatment Systems

AQUALINE SURFACE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

The technologies used include coagulation-flocculation-simple or lamellar sedimentation, pressurized or gravity fast sand filtration, slow sand filtration for the clarification of turbid and humic waters; ion exchange for the treatment of hard water, ion exchange and reverse osmosis for salinity removal; There are biological treatment methods for the removal of organic substances, active carbon adsorption, chlorination, ozonation and ultraviolet methods for disinfection.

COAGULATION:
Chemical substances are added to water to turn non-precipitating colloidal substances and slowly settling suspended solids in raw water into rapidly settling flocs. Rapid mixing by adding chemicals to water, destabilization of colloidal and suspended solids, and combination of destabilized solids is called coagulation.

FLOCULATION:
Flocculation is the process of slow mixing of small flocs that have been destabilized as a result of the coagulation process, and the formation of large flocs that can collapse quickly. Slow mixing is done by mechanical mixing, air mixing and hydraulic mixing processes.

FILTRATION:
Filtration is the process of passing water through a filter medium in order to retain the unprecipitated suspended solids in raw water that has been coagulated with chemicals and precipitated and to obtain high quality drinking water.
