AQUALINE ACTIVE CARBON FILTER SYSTEMS
Aqualine Active carbon filters are used to purify undesirable chlorine, dissolved gases, residues and organic substances that cause color, taste and odor in water. Activated carbon is a coal-like material with a very large surface area (1000-1500 m2/gr). The efficiency of the activated carbon filter is determined by the properties of the activated carbon used in the filter bed and the correct selection of the water filtration rate. In Activated Carbon Systems, the absorption mechanism also operates in addition to the filtration mechanism during water purification. For this reason, Active Carbon Filters are systems that perform physico-chemical purification. Active Carbon Filters work fully automatically, without the need for human intervention. The Active Carbon Filter, which performs automatic backwashing for 15-20 minutes a day, renews itself in this way. Another issue to consider about activated carbon is that the mineral deposit can create a suitable environment for bacterial growth. Because activated carbon accumulates organic matter and if there are bacteria in the water, bacteria can reproduce using this organic matter as food. In such cases, bacterial leakage is possible. For this reason, it is important to disinfect the water before and after using activated carbon.
