Aqualine Active carbon filters are used to purify undesirable chlorine, dissolved gases, residues and organic substances that cause color, taste and odor in water. Another issue to consider about activated carbon is that the mineral deposit can create a suitable environment for bacterial growth. Because activated carbon accumulates organic matter and if there are bacteria in the water, bacteria can reproduce using this organic matter as food. In such cases, bacterial leakage is possible. For this reason, it is important to disinfect the water before and after using activated carbon.
