They are the most cost-effective sludge dewatering systems for use in medium or large-scale facilities with high sludge amounts. In the continuously operating Belt Press system, solid-liquid separation of the mud compressed between rotating drums and mud belts is made. The dewatering efficiency of sludge compressed at low and high pressure with drums of different diameters is quite high. After the mud cake, whose water is filtered by applying different pressures on the mud bands, is removed from the system, the mud bands are washed with automatic self-cleaning nozzles in order to increase filtration efficiency. Filtration and backwash water is conveyed to the wastewater treatment plant through a discharge line. The resulting sludge cake is removed from the system by transferring it to containers or conveyor belts according to customer demand.
